Security and industry network of Savo, Finland – Savo defence

The world’s political situation has created a lot of market opportunities domestically and internationally in the defense equipment sector. Finland’s accession to NATO has also opened new opportunities for companies. The formation of a company group in the defense supplies industry started in South Savo in the spring of 2024 on a company-led basis. The scope of the network and the need to develop operations advocated the coordination of operations as its own development project. The work carried out in this project enables individual member companies to learn from each other, expand networks and create new business opportunities in Finland and internationally.

The goal of the project is to jointly build an offer for the defense equipment industry and to develop companies’ capabilities to participate in international projects. The growth of the member companies domestically and internationally is in the focus of the project. In addition, the goal is to activate companies for new R&D activities. Official meetings are often difficult for an individual company to implement, but a group of companies is an interesting partner for the public sector as well.
